Professional Resin Printing
Why the Reflex 2 Outperforms Consumer Resin Printers
161 OptiZone Light Engine
161 individually controlled mini-LEDs with PWM deliver more uniform light across the full 230×144 mm plate — fewer hot spots, sharper edges, consistent batch results from edge to edge compared to single-source MSLA printers.
6,000+ Hour Amber Screen Pro
The 10.7" 6K Amber Screen Pro outlasts standard mono LCDs by 3–4×. At 16 hours daily that's a full production year before replacement — with 86,000+ zone calibration maintaining ≥94% light uniformity throughout its life.
C5 Grade Z-axis · ±2 µm
C5-grade Z-axis delivers ±2 µm repeat positioning under 50 kg load — the motion control standard of precision CNC, applied to every layer of every print. DMA 3.0 adds 18-parameter intelligent speed optimization.
385+ nm — Engineering Resins
1.5× stronger curing than 405 nm unlocks the full HeyGears engineering resin library including PAH270 at 270°C HDT — capability standard 405 nm printers cannot access regardless of their other specs.
Die-Cast Unibody Base
Single die-cast body eliminates cumulative tolerance from multi-part assemblies. The result is a stiffer, more consistent machine that holds Z-axis calibration longer across high-volume production sessions.
Full Automation Suite
Auto leveling (0.15°/240 µm), 0.01 N residue detection, auto resin refill, and optional PRM2 port eliminate the manual touchpoints that cause most production failures in unattended or overnight runs.
Display Technology
161 OptiZone Light Engine — PWM-Controlled Precision Curing
More Accurate Light Control
161 Mini-LEDs. Individual Brightness Control. Superior Plate Uniformity.

Standard MSLA printers fire a single fixed light source producing hot spots — brightest at center, falling off toward edges. The Reflex 2's OptiZone engine gives every one of its 161 mini-LEDs independent activation and brightness control via PWM. The result: substantially more uniform light across the full 230×144 mm plate, producing edge-to-edge dimensional accuracy single-source machines cannot match.

Precise Light Projection
86,000+ Zone Calibration — ≤0.05 mm Print Accuracy Across the Full Plate

The MASK visual calibration algorithm divides the screen into 86,020 zones and compensates for light intensity variation at each one. This achieves ≥94% uniformity across the plate and maintains print accuracy of ≤0.05 mm in XY — the same threshold required for dental models, orthotics, and precision industrial parts.

HeyGears Reflex 2 OptiZone light uniformity chart
Light Uniformity
≥94% Light Uniformity — Measured Across the Full Build Plate

The 86,020-zone calibration ensures that the outer edges of the build plate cure at the same intensity as the center. For batch production this means the 20th part on a full tray prints with the same dimensional accuracy as the first — which is not achievable on single-source printers without manual tuning for each resin.

AI-Powered Calibration
86,000+ Zone MASK Calibration — Consistent Results Throughout Screen Life

Screen light intensity degrades non-uniformly over time — hot spots shift, edges dim at different rates. The MASK algorithm counteracts this by calibrating 86,020 individual zones and compensating continuously. The Amber Screen Pro maintains ≥94% uniformity and ≤0.05 mm print accuracy from day one to the end of its 6,000+ hour rated lifespan. Replacement is modular and tooling-free.

Modular Design
Field-Replaceable Screen — Zero Downtime Maintenance

The Amber Screen Pro's modular design makes replacement fast and tooling-free when it reaches end-of-life after 6,000+ hours. No technician visit required. Rev1 stocks replacement screens for next-day shipment — treating the screen as a scheduled consumable, not a capital repair event.

Structural Integrity
Die-Cast Unibody + C5 Z-axis — Built for Production Consistency
Die-Cast Unibody Base
Single Casting — No Cumulative Tolerance Stack-Up

Multi-part assemblies introduce tolerance at every joint. The Reflex 2's die-cast single-piece base replaces multiple structural components with one precision casting — eliminating the tolerance stack-up that causes Z-axis drift in conventional printer frames over time. The stiffer body holds calibration longer, reducing the frequency of re-leveling in high-volume production environments.

C5 Grade Z-Axis
±2 µm Repeat Positioning — 50 kg Load, 10,000 Cycles Tested

The C5-grade Z-axis module maintains ±2 µm repeat positioning accuracy under a 50 kg load, verified over 10,000 test cycles. This is the precision standard of industrial CNC equipment applied to resin 3D printing. Layer thickness stays consistent across the full print height — no Z-banding, no creeping dimensional drift in long runs.

Dynamic Motion Algorithm 3.0
18 Motion Parameter Sets — Auto-Selected Per Layer for Speed + Quality

DMA 3.0 evaluates each layer's cross-section, part spacing, and complexity and selects from 18 optimized motion control parameter sets. Simple layers get speed. Complex layers get the parameters that ensure clean curing. The result is faster overall print time without the surface quality penalties that come from blanket high-speed settings.

Optional Upgrade
Intelligent Temperature Control — Optional Heating Scraper Add-On
Optional Heating Scraper
68% Faster Resin Heating — 10°C to 22°C in 6 Minutes

Cold resin is the most common hidden cause of first-layer failures and poor print adhesion. The optional Heating Scraper add-on brings resin from 10°C to optimal 22°C in just 6 minutes — 68% faster than passive warm-up. It simultaneously prevents resin sedimentation by keeping material in motion during the heating phase. For shops without climate control, or anyone printing high-viscosity engineering resins, this is a meaningful upgrade.

±1°C Precision
Stable Temperature Throughout the Full Print Run

The in-scraper heater combined with its temperature sensor maintains resin at ±1°C deviation throughout the entire print — not just at startup. For long runs with engineering resins, stable viscosity is critical to consistent layer adhesion and dimensional accuracy. The heating scraper is available as a stand-alone add-on or bundled with the PRM2 Kit.

HeyGears Reflex 2 68% faster heating chart
HeyGears Reflex 2 high viscosity drainage improvement
High-Viscosity Resins
24%+ Faster Drainage for Engineering Resins

For high-viscosity resins like PAU20 Tooling, raising resin temperature from 25°C to 35°C reduces liquid drainage waiting time by over 24% in large cross-section models. In production batches of tooling inserts or dense solid parts, this translates to measurable throughput gain over a full shift.

Thermal Management
Powerful Thermal Dissipation — 31–35°C Operating Window
Active Thermal Management
Stable 31.2°C to 35°C — Heat Buildup Eliminated

Heat buildup is the primary accelerator of LCD screen degradation in MSLA printers. The Reflex 2's thermal ventilation structure actively dissipates heat from both the light source and the screen, maintaining an operating temperature window of 31.2°C to 35°C. This tightly controlled thermal envelope is the key reason the Amber Screen Pro achieves its 6,000+ hour rated lifespan.

IR Comparison
Less Heat at the Screen = Longer Life + Consistent Curing

Thermal imaging comparison shows the Reflex 2's screen operating significantly cooler than comparable MSLA printers at equivalent print intensity. Lower operating temperature means less UV degradation stress on the liquid crystal layer — directly extending screen lifespan and maintaining consistent light transmission characteristics over time.

Print Automation
Auto Leveling, Residue Detection, Auto Refill — Hands-Off Printing
Auto Leveling
Floating Platform — 0.15° Deviation, 240 µm Auto-Compensation

A floating build platform system allows up to ±0.15° of active adjustment, eliminating gaps between the platform and tank floor of up to 240 µm — automatically, at the start of every print. No manual leveling routine, no test prints required. The system checks itself every session so a slightly misloaded platform never turns into a wasted run.

Residue Detection
0.01 N Force Sensor — Detects 0.15 mm Residue, Auto-Stops

Force sensors with 0.01 N sensitivity monitor the release force during every peel cycle. Resin residue as small as 0.15 mm triggers an automatic print stop — before the residue can damage the screen or cause a platform collision. This protection turns what would be a $200–400 screen replacement into a simple filter change.

Auto Resin Refill
Automatic Before and During Printing — Never Run Dry Mid-Job

The Reflex 2 monitors resin level continuously and triggers automatic refill from the attached bottle both before and during active printing. Long jobs don't require an operator to stand by and top up the tank. Replace the standard bottle push-button with the one included in the box for faster auto-refill flow rate.

Common Questions
Frequently Asked — HeyGears Reflex 2
What is the difference between the Reflex 2 and Reflex 2 Pro?
The Reflex 2 has 161 OptiZone zones, a 230×144×230 mm build volume, 350 W, and a standard stepper Z-axis. The Reflex 2 Pro upgrades to 1,032 OptiZone zones, a 230×144×350 mm build volume (52% taller), 750 W, an FOC closed-loop motor, and integrated scraper-assisted temperature control as standard. For moderate production volumes the Reflex 2 is an excellent value. For high-volume tall-part production the Pro is the right step up.
Does the Reflex 2 need the Heating Scraper — is it worth adding?
The Heating Scraper is optional but recommended for shops printing engineering resins (PAU20, PAH270), shops without climate control, or anyone printing in cold environments. It brings resin to optimal temperature 68% faster and maintains ±1°C throughout the run. For standard modeling resins at room temperature, the base printer performs well without it. You can add it at purchase or later — it ships and installs in minutes.
What resins are compatible with the Reflex 2?
The Reflex 2 is compatible with the full HeyGears Reflex Series: PAC10 (castable), PAU11/PAU20 (tooling), PAH10/PAH270 (high-heat — PAH270 up to 270°C HDT), PAT10 (tough/transparent), PARP10 (clay), PAP10 (dental/precise), PAWR10 (wear-resistant), PAS10 (standard modeling), PAF10 (flexible), PAE10 (elastic). The 385+ nm source also supports third-party industrial resins requiring shorter-wavelength curing.
Can the Reflex 2 use the Pulsing Release Module 2?
Yes — the Reflex 2 includes a dedicated PRM2 interface port. The Pulsing Release Module Kit 2 (module + Heated & Pulsing Release Resin Tank) connects without machine modification. PRM2 reduces peel force by up to 50%, enables fewer supports, and allows faster speeds — especially valuable for dental, orthotics, and delicate production parts.
What does Rev1 Technologies include with purchase?
Every Reflex 2 sold by Rev1 includes delivery to your facility anywhere in the U.S., on-site physical installation and machine commissioning, Blueprint Studio software setup and network integration, hands-on operator training for your team, first material calibration with your target resin, and ongoing regional technical support. We also offer a free sample print before purchase. Contact us at (248) 707-2950 or (248) 707-2950.
Does the Reflex 2 require special facility setup or ventilation?
Standard 100–240 V single-phase power is sufficient — no 3-phase required. The Reflex 2 includes a GreenPrint Purification Module interface for optional air filtration. Resin printing environments benefit from adequate ventilation; Rev1 walks through facility requirements during pre-purchase consultation and can advise on filtration solutions for your space.
What is Blueprint Studio and is it included?
Blueprint Studio (BPS) is HeyGears' integrated slicer and print management platform — included free with every Reflex 2. One-Click Slice automatically orients, repairs mesh, generates supports, and slices your model. Rev1 installs and configures BPS during machine setup and provides hands-on training. No ongoing subscription fee.
Is business financing available?
Yes — Rev1 Technologies offers business financing for qualified buyers. At 8% over 72 months the Reflex 2 base configuration ($1,799) is approximately $30/month. Contact us at (248) 707-2950 or (248) 707-2950 for a financing worksheet based on your full configuration.

Smart Production

Hands-Free Production — Auto Level, Residue Detection, Auto Refill

Auto Leveling
Floating Build Platform — ±0.15° Auto, No Manual Tramming

The floating build platform auto-levels gaps up to 240 µm before every job with a deviation of ±0.15°. No manual tramming, no calibration ritual before each run. The platform self-compensates at the start of every print — a critical feature for production environments where operators shouldn't be spending time on setup over printing.

Auto Level ±0.15°
240 µm Gap Compensation
Every Print, Automatic
Residue Detection
0.01 N Force Sensor — Stops on 0.15 mm Residue Before Cascade Failure

Force sensors with 0.01 N sensitivity detect resin residue as small as 0.15 mm and auto-stop the print before that residue becomes a tank contamination event. On printers without residue detection, a small failure at layer 20 of a 400-layer print means ruined parts, ruined resin, and ruined FEP — discovered only at the end. The Reflex 2 stops it the moment it starts.

0.01 N Force Sensitivity
0.15 mm Detection Threshold
Auto-Stop on Detection
Automatic Resin Refill
Refills Before You Start and Again Mid-Run — Without Stopping

Automatic resin refill activates before the print begins to bring the tank to optimal fill level, then again during the run as resin is consumed — without pausing or requiring operator intervention. Combined with auto-leveling and residue detection, this completes a three-layer automation stack that makes genuinely unattended multi-hour production runs reliable, not just theoretically possible.
